This unique poster montage details real matches which took place as described, with each one in the style of a Victorian street notice. The four matches resulted as follows;

St Marks (West Gorton) 1 Baptist Church (Macclesfield) 2  The church teams first ever match.

West Gorton (St Marks) 2 Newton Heath LYR 1  This was the first home match against the team who later became known as Manchester United in 1902, resulting in a 2-1 victory.

Dalton Hall 1 Gorton AFC 0  Played at Dog Kennel Lane which later became known as Maine Road. The attendance at this cup match was 3,000.

Ardwick AFC 1 Newton Heath LYR 0  A crowd of 10,000 watched this first cup final appearance and success. This victory paved the way to league football and a fierce rivalry.

The 4 in 1 poster montage is approximately 594mm x 420mm (A2) in size. A full colour, high resolution digital print on 200 gsm white matt paper, sent within a cardboard mailing tube.

Also contained within the tube is a free (A4 size) facsimile reproduction of the 1904 FA Cup Final programme on 80 gsm steel grey paper. This final between Manchester City and Bolton Wanderers was played at Crystal Palace in front of 61,374 spectators. City won 1-0 thanks to a Billy Meredith goal. This facsimile copy shows all ageing and marks which were present on the original.
