Heritage Enamel Pin

£7.00

This stunning ‘Heritage’ style pin displays both the church name in its original form and reshuffled so the football team would not be confused with the cricket team during 1881 and 1882, when they were both playing at Kirkmanshulme Cricket Club.

It was whilst playing at the Kirkmanshulme Cricket Club ground that the teams first home ‘derby’ match against Newton Heath LYR took place on 4th March 1882, with West Gorton (St Marks) emerging victorious by two goals to one.

Circular with a diameter of approximately 25mm, this fine enamel pin has lapel stud with butterfly clutch fitting. Supplied in a hinged plastic box to protect from damage during mailing.
