The Lancashire Rose was derived from the arms of King Henry IV, Duke of Lancaster. The Church of St Mark in West Gorton was built in the historic County of Lancashire. After local government reform in 1974, Manchester was removed from Lancashire for ceremonial and administrative purposes and Greater Manchester was formed. The red rose has always been depicted upon the Manchester Coat of Arms.
This pin has a lapel stud with butterfly clutch fitting. Approximate size is 25mm x 23mm. Supplied in a hinged plastic box to protect from damage during mailing.
